True North Brass

So we went to the first concert tonight, in the www.chamberfest.com thing. It was a brass quintet from Toronto, "True North Brass." Loads of fun. I never knew the "clarinet polka" could be played on a tuba.
And well I should mention.

"Lands of ice and fire" Tales of the Norse

Second concert we went to in the chamber music festival. Wow. This concert was introduced by the Danish ambassador himself. What an introduction! An incredible dramatic female soloist at the back of the church sang along with the rest of the ensemble. Some very nice a capella happened as well. Some very amusing stories were told about Norse gods etc. Thor, Freya, Loki, other names I couldn't hope to remember . Quite fun evening.
